A Criminal Record Check or Police Clearance Certificate is issued to any foreign nationals who had previously been employed and had resided in Lithuania to certify that the named person has no criminal record during his stay in Lithuania. The Departmental Register of Suspected, Accused and Convicted Persons is a central repository of criminal record data and related information. It is administered by the IT and Communications Department of the Lithuanian Ministry of the Interior. The register maintains records provided by the courts, pre-trial investigation institutions, national and local prosecution services, the prison department and the police criminal investigations center. Criminal Record Check is issued by the Information Technology and Communications Department, Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, Lithuania. Person applying for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) are required to state the period of stay in Lithuania. Documentary proof of stay is to be provided. First Entry and Last Exit date STAMP is also required. All pages of VISA (Colour Copy). It is issued to any individual who reside more than 6 months in Lithuania.
The Ministry of the Interior accepts direct applications from Our Organization. However, the results of a check will only be mailed outside Lithuania in the event that an application is received from an overseas embassy or consulate. The Ministry of the Interior provides third parties (with the consent of the individual) with two types of disclosure: a Personal Certificate, containing information about unspent convictions only; and a Personal History Statement, comprising a full criminal record disclosure (both spent and unspent convictions). An explanatory letter addressed to the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, explaining the reason for requesting the Criminal Record Check. You will have to write a letter to Embassy of Lithuania stating that you require a PCC and that you are authorizing authorized agency to collect it on your behalf. Applicant must apply with Completed Application Form (Personal Particular) provided by authorized agency for Police Clearance Certificate. The applicant should furnish his or her full name, date and place of birth, and place and period of all residences in the Lithuania, including full addresses. The Original certificate will be posted to the forwarding address as indicated by the applicants in the application. The Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, takes 2 weeks to process the application if no criminal record found.
The issuing authority will give the original Police Clearance Certificate within 2 to 3 weeks. (The processing time will increases if a person was ever charged by the police).
