Overview

The Police clearance certificate or Criminal (Investigation) Records Check Reply confirms whether you have a criminal record or not. Police Clearance Certificate is a document that is issued by the Federal Police Directorate of Vienna, Federal Police Bureau certifying that the applicant has never partaken in any criminal activity that led to the involvement of the Austrian National Police, and is also required when a person applies for an immigration status to other countries. In Austria, the criminal record information is maintained at the Federal Police Bureau, Criminal Investigation Record Check, Vienna.Person applying for Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) are required to state the period of stay in Austria. Documentary proof of stay is to be provided. First Entry and Last Exit date STAMP is also required. All pages of VISA (Colour Copy).

It is issued to any individual who resides more than 6 months in Austria.

Procedure of Getting Clearance Certificate from Austria

You should specifically request a search on your entire record, including Criminal Records (including lapsed criminal sentences) and investigation records. You need to provide a filled completed application form for a Police Clearance Certificate. You must fill the prescribed Consent from so that authorized agency can apply for the Police Certificate on your behalf. You should complete with a Prescribed Consent form. The completed application form can be submitted at the Federal Police Bureau (Criminal Investigation Office) Vienna. Full set of fingerprints of both the hands obtained from the applicant’s at authorized agency lab on prescribed fingerprint form, certified by our official stamp of authorized agency. The completed application form with other supporting documents are directly forwarded to (Criminal Records Centre), in Vienna. The Federal Police Bureau (Criminal Records Centre) takes around 2 to 3 weeks under regular service, to process the application if no criminal record found and after that they send the certified criminal record check (hard copy) via regular mail, then then agency will forward it to you.

• The fully completed application form or letter containing the information of applicant
• Full set of fingerprints of both the hands obtained from the applicant’s at authorized agency Lab
• Coloured copies of the first and last Austrian visas showing dates of arrival
• A certified copy of Austrian National identification card or registration card
• Self-attested coloured photocopies of your passports.(including blank pages)
• Two recent passport size photographs with white background
• Completed Application Form (Personal Particular)
• A detailed covering letter stating the period of stay in Austrian and need for the said certificate
